  • Activity – Identification of non-school-going students and providing them with quality education and awareness to parents about the importance of child education.

India Literacy Project

  • Activity – Awareness and pieces of training for Rural Community and School students from economically and socially weaker sections of the society.

  • Activity – Awareness Generation on RTI/STD/HIV/AIDS, gender issues and family planning methods.

Women Self-Help Groups and IG Projects

  • Location – Tuticorin & Tirunelveli Districts
  • Activity - Formation of Self-Help Group’s accounting to a total of 1900 SHGs and 15 Federations.
  • Beneficiaries - covering over 25,000 members with a Savings fund of 2.9 crores and gathered a loan amount of 6.02 crores.

Skill Development Training

  • Location – Tuticorin & Tirunelveli Districts
  • Sponsored by - NABARD
  • Activity – Skill development initiative on Photography and Photo lamination training programme, Beautician training programme, Fish Pickle making process and Mushroom Cultivation - for women.
  • Beneficiaries - 114 women were groomed as entrepreneurs through this skill development training in Tuticorin District.

LEDP On Palmyra

  • LLocation – Tuticorin District
  • Granted by - NABARD
  • Activity & Beneficiaries- Three 15-day LEDP training sessions for 30 women each in three focused areas. In total, 90 women members received training in edible and non-edible value-added products made from palmyra.

  • Activity – Rehabilitation programmes along with Skill Training activities like Outboard Engine Repairs, scholarship, livelihood development etc.,

Kilavilathikulam Watershed Project

  • Location – Tuticorin District
  • Granted by - NABARD
  • Activity & Beneficiaries - 1400 hectares that would benefit the rural masses in 7 villages of Kilavilathikulam region. Under the Full Implementation Phase (FIP), 350 farm ponds with inlet and outlet pipes, 11 sunken ponds and 12500 R.Mt field bunds have been created for controlling the overflow of water during rainy seasons.

Sinnur Watershed Project

  • Location – Tuticorin District
  • Granted by - NABARD/WABAG
  • Activity - Sinnur watershed is a vast plain rain-fed area with an average land slope of 1.5% covering 1073.26 Hectares of black cotton soil situated at a distance of 4kms from Vilathikulam.
  • Beneficiaries - 1095 households,4118 people, 114 small farmers,325 marginal farmers, 619 landless labours.

  • Location – Tuticorin District
  • Grant & supported by – NABARD
  • Activity - Formation of Vilathikulam Farmer Producer Company with 1000 members as shareholders under the NABARD scheme- 100% of the share capital i.e. ,Rs. 10 lakhs have been kept under FD as an investment of the company.
  • Beneficiaries – 1000 farmers.

Bharathiyar Community Center

  • Location – Tuticorin District
  • Sponsored by – NRI Home Coming Team, Self-Funded
  • Activity - Formed in Vilathikulam, with 13 acres of land donated by Dr.K.Jothimony for Free lease to the community for agricultural activities like creating Agri-ponds, Green House shed etc.,
  • Beneficiaries - 1550 rural people,565 children in 24 villages.
